PRSD student leaders share their stories provincially at the ASBA “Student voices – LOUD & CLEAR” spring general meeting

The Paul Rowe High School “Three Battles Skatepark Committee” and the Peace River High School’s “League of Leadership Group” will share their inspiring stories of leadership with  school board trustees from across the province at the annual Alberta School Boards Association’s  “Student voices – LOUD & CLEAR” spring general meeting in Red Deer next week.

Student representatives from Paul Rowe High and Manning Elementary School will tell the story of how they and eight other students from Paul Rowe High School and Manning Elementary rallied the support of the community to see their dream of building a skate park in their community come true during their flexible learning time (enrichment block) at school.

Several Peace River High School League of Leadership group members will share how their leadership group has fostered a strong community culture in their school through modeled and engaged citizenship. Both groups are scheduled to present on Tuesday, June 2 at 1:15 pm.

“There are so many examples of students taking action and making positive change through leadership and citizenship in our schools” says PRSD Board Chair Darren Kuester. “We are very proud to have some of our students share their stories with the province. The impact they have and continue to make is truly inspiring.”
