Community Blanket Exercise
The Aboriginal Studies 30 class of Peace River High School will be facilitating a Blanket Exercise at the Peace River High School Library. This will take place from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm on Thursday September 27th. The Blanket Exercise is an informational activity about the the history of the Peace Region from an Indigenous perspective. This exercise will cover nearly 500 years of history, exploring the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Learn what this history, from first contact up to the present day, looked like in our area: stories from Duncan’s First Nation, Cadotte, Little Buffalo, Fairview and Peace River are included. This is an interactive activity that can touch your heart and open your eyes. It is of value to anybody who wants to learn more!
You are welcome to come and bring your friends and family. Please email Ms. Crumpton at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know if you will be able to attend.
